This Privacy Policy explains how Toast – Apps & Software, LLC ("Toast Mobile," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Faith with Friends mobile app on iOS and Android (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

Faith with Friends requires an account. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name, email address, and (if available) profile photo from that sign-in provider. We store a display name, a username you choose, an optional profile photo, and a Firebase user ID, along with account timestamps such as when you joined and were last active.

Content you create

We store the content you share in the App, including prayer requests, verses, answered prayers, reading notes, reactions, private words of encouragement, your friend connections, and any invite links you create. This content is shared only with the friends you connect with in the App.

Photos

If you choose to set a profile photo, you can select an image from your camera or photo library. We only access photos you explicitly choose; we do not browse your library.

Device and notification data

To deliver push notifications, we store a device push token. On iOS this uses Apple Push Notification service (APNs); on Android it uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

Usage and diagnostic data

We collect coarse, privacy-conscious usage events (for example, that an update was shared or a reaction was sent) to understand how the App is used. These events do not include the text of your messages, prayers, or notes. We also collect crash and diagnostic data to keep the App stable.

Waitlist email

If you enter your email address on our website to be notified about updates and the launch, we store that address with our email provider so we can contact you. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and operate your account and provide the App's features.
• To deliver your content to the friends you connect with.
• To send push notifications you have enabled.
• To understand usage, fix problems, and improve the App.
• To contact you about updates and the launch if you joined our waitlist.

3. No Purchases or Subscriptions

Faith with Friends does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. We do not collect or process any payment card numbers, billing addresses, or other payment information.

4. Sign-In Providers

We use Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google for authentication. When you sign in, the provider shares basic profile information (such as name and email) with us. Your sign-in credentials are handled by Apple and Google; we never see or store your password. Your use of those services is also governed by Apple's and Google's privacy policies.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on trusted third parties to run the App. These providers process data on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics, and Storage), which stores your account and content, delivers notifications, and provides usage and crash reporting.
• Apple and Google, for sign-in and, on iOS, push notification delivery via APNs.
• Brevo, our email provider, which stores waitlist and account email addresses so we can send you updates.

6. Permissions We Request

The App may ask for the following permissions on each platform:

iOS

• Notifications: to send you push notifications.
• Camera and Photo Library: to let you choose or take a profile photo.

Android

• Notifications: to send you push notifications (Android 13 and later).
• Camera and Photos / Media: to let you choose or take a profile photo.
• Internet access: required for the App to communicate with our services.

You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.

7. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information. Content you create is shared with the friends you connect with in the App. We share data with the service providers listed above only to operate the App. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and our service.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings), which removes your profile and associated content from our active systems. Backups and logs may persist for a limited period before being overwritten. For step-by-step instructions — including how to request deletion without the App — see our account deletion page. 9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Links to Other Sites

The App or this site may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
